The demands of Jesus for loyalty are total. He is the Lord of Lords. But if we try and deal with those demands in total, we are quickly overwhelmed. It is no different to our anxiety over clothes and food. If I begin to contemplate how I will feed my family several kilos of … [Read more...] about One War, Many Battles

Words that Matter - Unity - Sermo Humilis

I spoke to some primary school children a while back about a popular song by Guy Sebastian called, “Get Along”. The chorus ran, Dear God, dear soul, dear mary, Muhammad, Can we all just get along? Can we all just get along?.... Good question. The thought in this song is … [Read more...] about Unity

It's not a mark of defeat but a tactical manoeuvre. Withdrawal lets you catch your breath, duck for cover and refuel. It … [Read more...] about Fighting Shy

This is the kind of defeat that Christians are called to pray for. The kind that brings about the triumph of … [Read more...] about Jesus, The Battle for Mercy

Many in the town, believing that the God of Boniface must be greater than Thor, left their paganism behind converted to Christianity.
