Speaking the Truth to One Another - Sermo Humilis

In a recent interview, Journalist Walter Kirn told a story that says a lot about our deep desire to avoid displeasing other people with the inconvenient truth. On the morning that the Twin Towers in New York City collapsed (an event commonly known as 9-11), one of the richest … [Read more...] about The Inconvenient Truth

Meat substitutes are not new, but in the last six months, there has been an increasing push for these substitutes. They have been winning awards left, right and centre, promoted by … [Read more...] about Substitutes

#12 Jesus and the Environment - Jesus Through all of Life

The central issue when it comes to the environment is not science versus climate, not pollution versus clean air. The central issue is faithful worship versus idolatry. God's law provides very simple instructions on how man is to interact with the environment. We are told … [Read more...] about #12 Jesus and the Environment

Thor's Oak

Around 723 AD, a missionary named Boniface entered Hesse in Germany. Upon finding a sacred tree named Thor’s Oak, he took an axe to it, cut it down and built a church.
