The Good News is that Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth and that all the kingdoms of this world are His. He is not wringing His hands in heaven, hoping you will pick Him among the gods. He already reigns over all. But when we bring the good news to others, what are we hoping … [Read more...] about Jesus Among the Pick ‘n Mix

For the Joy Set Before Him

7 February 2019 By David Trounce

Love is not a duty - sermo humilis

It's that they will love the Commandments with the same terrified delight as they might love standing on the seashore and watching a tsunami hit the beach. Getting your kids to follow the commandments isn't … [Read more...] about For the Joy Set Before Him

According to the Bible, God so loved the world. How much God loves those who are so … [Read more...] about Ants in a Broken World

Lock the door and swallow the key- sermo humilis

The perishing of the wicked is no light matter. When Jesus cried out in Luke 13:34, O Jerusalem, … [Read more...] about Lock the Door, Swallow the Key

Thor's Oak

Around 723 AD, a missionary named Boniface entered Hesse in Germany. Upon finding a sacred tree named Thor’s Oak, he took an axe to it, cut it down and built a church. Many in the town, believing that the God of Boniface must be greater than Thor, left their paganism behind converted to Christianity.
