Setting His foot … [Read more...] about Busy

Everything in creation bears witness to the character and nature of God. Man, made in God's image, stands unique at the centre of that creation as the visible representation of an invisible God. And the man Jesus Christ is that image made perfect. In the beginning, God created … [Read more...] about #2 Angels in the Architecture – OT Survey

Let's face it, we are, by and large, illiterate when it comes to the Old Testament. We get lost reading it, we neglect it, or else we dismiss it as unimportant. Others see it as just another strand in history—one that has little bearing on our world today. But the Old … [Read more...] about #1 Peals of Thunder – OT Survey

Taking the Soup - Sermo Humilis

It was during the Irish Potato Famine, of the mid 19th century that the term "taking the soup" or, "souperism" came into common use. Thor's Oak

Around 723 AD, a missionary named Boniface entered Hesse in Germany. Upon finding a sacred tree named Thor’s Oak, he took an axe to it, cut it down and built a church. Many in the town, believing that the God of Boniface must be greater than Thor, left their paganism behind converted to Christianity.
