#5-6 Footing the Bill - Studies in the Book of Ezra

The opening verses of Ezra 5 are a conclusion to the events of Chapter 4. Chapter 5 opens with the fact that it was the word of God that stirred them to work, and Chapter 6 ends with the fact that it was the word of God that stirred them to joy at the completion of the … [Read more...] about Ezra #5-6 – Footing the Bill

To those Who Believe - Sermo Humilis

In Mark 10:17 we meet a rich young ruler. Given our envy, as soon as we read that he is rich, (and young, and a man!), it may be tempting to draw an unflattering conclusion about what he is like. But this guy has all the outward appearance of a fine Christian man. With his … [Read more...] about To Those Who Believe

In Matthew 6:19-24, Jesus teaches us that we must not be graspers, anxiously in pursuit of the kind of earthly treasure that does not last. He teaches us not to seek our comfort in things that perish. Instead, we are to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, with the … [Read more...] about Jesus, Insider Trading

Many in the town, believing that the God of Boniface must be greater than Thor, left their paganism behind converted to Christianity.
